PETROLEUM ENGINEER (PRODUCTION)

OMV is Austria’s largest industrial organization engaged in Oil & Gas Exploration and Production activities in over 20 countries worldwide. OMV (Pakistan) Exploration GmbH, with its head office in Islamabad, is subsidiary of OMV AG. The Company has an active exploration program in Pakistan in different concession areas. OMV Pakistan is producing gas from its Miano and Sawan fields in districts Sukkur and Khairpur in Sindh.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the following Islamabad based Permanent Position.

PETROLEUM ENGINEER (PRODUCTION)
Provide all Petroleum Engineering input for optimized development and exploitation of reserves by means of sound reservoir management practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Prepare production forecasts for fields / wells using analytical models.
* Support production reporting.
* Evaluate the dynamic reservoir properties and well deliver abilities for the purpose of reservoir and well modeling and provide input for reservoir simulation studies.
* Maintain and update a reservoir and production database and monitor reservoir and production parameters on regular basis.
* Plan and conduct production, completion integrity tests and DSTs.
* Perform well test interpretation and Material Balance calculations.
* Plan and conduct well completion and simulation activities.
* Coordinate with service companies and consultants to supervise studies and Completion / Testing / Simulation activities.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* University Degree (BS / MS) in Petroleum Engineering.
* Minimum three years experience as petroleum engineer
* Good understanding of pressure and rate metering requirements / techniques.
* Be well versed in production monitoring and reporting software (OFM, FieldPro)
* Have hands-on experience in using some of the standard computer software packages for reservoir evaluation.
