On behalf of our prestigious client with head office in Islamabad and presence in key commercial centers of the country, we are seeking to attract high caliber legal professional for senior position within the legal department. These positions are based in Islamabad/Lahore office of the entity. The initiative to strengthening the in-house legal team is aimed consolidating and enforcing the legal function of the entity to play an effective and protective role in interfacing with internal/external stakeholder over a range of legal and regulatory aspects handled.
The legal department undertake drafting of legal document and reviews similar documents received from other departments/divisions as well as external sources. It provides impartial legal advice to various operational department/divisions of the entity and handles matters relating to litigations involving the entity. The legal department also participates with a host of internal and external stakeholders in the development/crystallization of policy initiatives aimed at strengthening the regulatory environment and ensuring effective compliance and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations.
Reporting to the senior hierarchy within the legal function, you will be required to frequently interact with peers and senior management in other departments/divisions
The Candidate for the position should have the following profile:-
- Minimum LLB degree with at least 5 year of progressive post qualification experience in the field of Corporate Consultancy and Litigation with a private Law firm. He or She should had a license to practice at the high court. Bar-at-Law/LLM degree holders will be preferred.
- The individual must be comfortable in working in an automated work environment and should have good communication, legal drafting/presentation skills with high level of analytical ability.
- Should be self motivated and demonstrate a mature attitude towards handling stress and deadlines.
- Should have impeccable integrity, positive attitude and superior team and interpersonal skills
- Should be less than 35 years of age as on June30, 2009
