Oracle Database Engineer - Karachi

Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include coordination with Manager/Head of IT, end users and software vendors to analyze functional requirements for Oracle ERP Application, Deploy applications using Oracle technology, Database Administration and Reports Development . Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of systems development life cycle, configuration management, structured analysis and design techniques.

Following role will further clear the position.
• Experience in Oracle9i and 10g Database Administration and Reports development
• Practical knowledge of Backup Recovery and Performance Tuning of Oracle database.
• Working knowledge on Linux and Windows Server operating system and Shell scripting
• Strong concepts of Data Guard using Oracle 10g on Linux Platform will be an advantage
• Application development using Oracle forms will be preferred.
• Ensures smooth running of databases and other applications resources in the company.
• Independently audit software development infra-structure, database performance, security and report to IT head.
• Follow up with ERP vendor for the approved changes and maintain the audit report
• Ensure that all analysis and designs are properly documented.
• Provide technical support to user
• Monitor ERP vendor progress and resolve technical issues.
Soft Skills:
• Research Oriented.
• Able to work in a team oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and coordination skills.
• Can able to manage long hours (if required)

Individual Specifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer sciences and 3 – 4 years of working experience preferably after graduation.
• Oracle Certified Administrator and Developer would be an added value.
• Working experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Thorough understanding of Oracle RDBMS concepts and development toolkit.
• Good understanding about scripting.
• Age must be between 24yrs - 28yrs
• Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
• Experience of ERP in manufacturing industry would be an added value.
