PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· MBA with a core background of sales and marketing in the Petroleum Business with at least 10 years of exposure.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage a team of individuals who will generate and qualify prospective clients, make initial contact, and coordinate a closing strategy with the clients.
· Optimize the regional and local effectiveness of all marketing programs, promotions and policy initiatives created to support the value proposition to both consumers and customers (franchisees and dealers).
· Ensure operational excellence in the local deployment of all marketing initiatives and programs through in-field training and effective project management.
· Work with marketing planning/promotions manager and sales personnel to build awareness and understanding of marketing plans and align those plans to effectively support sales goals.
· Ensure that the set standards are understood and executed correctly at the retail sites.
· Act as subject matter expert for all fuels marketing exeution issues within assigned territory
· Provide local market context into the marketing planning process.
· Monitor competitive activity and provide timely feedback on changes in the competitive region.
· Ensure that the sales team and customers are kept current on market issues that are shaping delivery tactics.
· Ensure that regional / local marketing plans are aligned with the wider marketing agenda and plans.
· Share best practice between markets, customers, and channels of trade.
· Strong ability to execute programs and marketing initiatives.
· Excellent training, written and communication skills.
· Strong networking and negotiating skills.
· Strong financial/analytical skills
· Creativity in developing marketing strategies for Intellectual/Analytical products
