Director of Pharmacy (Ref. N0 09/05)

The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for assessing and directing the operational and fiscal performance of the hospital's inpatient and outpatient pharmacy; emphasis is placed on operational effectiveness as well as clinical expertise. Responsibilities include staff support and development, process improvement, management of operational and capital budgets, recruitment and retention, and hospital, physician and community liaison. The ability to foster positive working relationships with physicians and other departments is integral to the role. As well as holding current licensure as a pharmacist, a strong background in management is also required.

Skills Required

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
• Department of Health or Professional Licensure as required by country of origin
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy practice
• Sound knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Laws of UAE
• Exposure/experience of JCIA/JCAHO Standards
• Excellent command of the English language - both verbal and written communication skills
