PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
· 10 years minimum of Oil & Gas Production Operations, Refining or equivalent Petrochemical experience with 7 years experience in instrumentation and controls design, installation, commissioning of projects in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sector.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.
· Ensure that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.
· Designing and developing new control systems.
· Maintaining and modifying existing systems.
· Managing operations.
· Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff.
· Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities.
· Project management within cost and time constrained environments.
· Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
· Providing advice and consultancy support.
· Purchasing equipment.
· Writing computer software.
· Developing new business proposals.
· Accepting responsibility and a level of accountability commensurate with the seniority of the position.
